GoodParent Privacy Policy

Last updated 6 October 2026. GoodParent is provided by Aldoss Labs LLC. Questions: hello@aldosslabs.com.

The short version

What you record about your child is stored on your phone. It reaches our server only when you invite another parent to share it, or when you turn on the daily note — both yours to switch on and yours to stop.

Your own wellbeing check-ins never leave your phone at all, shared family or not. The database is set up to refuse them.

We do not sell anything about you, we do not advertise, and there are no tracking or analytics services in the app.

What stays on your phone

Feeds, diapers, sleep, naps, pumping, foods tried, temperatures, symptoms, medicine, weight, notes, your children’s names and birth dates, your calendar, and your own wellbeing check-ins.

Deleting the app deletes all of it. We cannot recover it for you, because we never had it.

What your account holds

An email address, a password you set, and a screen name the app generates for you. Your real name is never shown in the community, and your child’s name is never attached to the account.

The name you enter during setup is used in the greeting on your Today screen and is stored on your phone.

What happens when you share with a partner

Inviting another parent creates a household on our server, and from then on the shared care record syncs between your phones: your children’s names, birth dates and allergies, every log, food entries, your calendar, and a running timer.

Each parent keeps their own account. You never share a login, and neither of you can see the other’s community posts or messages.

Entries record who wrote them, so each of you can see who logged what.

Your wellbeing check-ins are excluded, by the database itself rather than by the app remembering to exclude them.

Leaving a family ends your access to the shared record. It does not delete the record, which belongs to the household.

The daily note (optional, Premium)

It is off until you turn it on in Settings, under Privacy and data.

When it is on, the app sends a handful of counts to our server: today’s and yesterday’s feeds, ounces, nursing and sleep minutes, naps, and wet and dirty diapers, the hour of the day, and your child’s age rounded to days, weeks, months or years. Our server passes them to Anthropic, whose Claude model writes a two- or three-sentence note, and sends the note back.

Names never go: the note comes back with placeholders, and your phone puts the names in. Notes you wrote, temperatures, symptoms, medicine, spit-up, weight and your wellbeing check-ins are never sent.

Our server keeps only the time of each request, to limit how many notes an account can ask for in a day, and deletes those records after a week. It does not keep the counts or the note.

The note is written by AI. It says your own numbers back to you and is checked before you see it; it does not judge, diagnose or advise. Turning it off removes the last note from your phone.

The community

Posts and replies you write are stored on our server and visible to other parents using the app. You post under a generated screen name; posting anonymously hides even that.

Reports go to a moderator. Blocking someone hides them from your feed on your phone.

Nothing about your child is attached to a post. The badge beside your name says a stage — "Infant parent" — and nothing more precise.

Children’s information

This app is for parents and carers, who are adults. It is not directed to children and is not intended for anyone under 13 to use.

Information about a child is entered by their parent, and treated as sensitive: stored on the device by default, shared only between parents of the same household, and never sold, advertised against, or used to build a profile.

Deleting things

Delete everything on this phone removes your local records and signs you out. It does not close your account.

Delete my account closes the account, removes your community posts and replies, and ends your membership of any household. If you started a family and others are still in it, the longest-standing member becomes its owner so their record of their own child survives.

Both are in Settings, under Privacy and data.

What we do not do

No advertising, no advertising identifiers, no third-party analytics, no selling or sharing of personal information, and no automated decisions about you or your child.

The app never diagnoses, predicts, or interprets a symptom. It records what you wrote and helps you ask a clinician.

Who processes data for us

Supabase hosts the database and authentication used by the community and by partner sharing. They process that data on our instructions and do not use it for their own purposes.

Anthropic writes the daily note, if you turn it on, from the counts described above. It receives no names and no account details.

Apple and Google process subscription payments when those exist. We never see your card details.

Your rights, and reaching us

You can see everything we hold by looking in the app, export it with the handoff and visit summaries, correct any entry, and delete your records or your account at any time without asking us.

For anything else, including a question about this policy, write to hello@aldosslabs.com and we will answer.
